freezy peezy

i've been home for almost a week! and my brother got back on Saturday night. it's always so nice to see my brother! we went to the grand street cafe for brunch on Sunday and then for dinner, mom mad Chinese hot pot. here's what it looks like.
It's really good. You have a pot of boiling water in the middle and you throw some things like tofu, fish cake, etc and then you have these side dishes that you cook in the boiling water. Yum!

we might go find a christmas tree today (really late, i know, but better late than never?). i really hope we get a chance to do that. i want to take pictures and decorate!

so in addition to getting down to business, i want to figure out how to add music to this blog. i have such a short attention span when it comes to reading "how to" stuff and the internets. maybe by the end of my break i will figure it out...or else i will ask michael to help me. he's good at this stuff.

i got a chance to meet scott's daughter on monday. she is really adorable. she was asleep when i first got there,
but she woke up and a few minutes later, she was showing off her dance moves.
i'm glad i got to see them before they flew back to chicago. what a funny lady, that amanda.

and this morning, my mom made us these pan fried dumpling-type things. they are somewhere between a dumpling and meat-stuffed bun.
