Heathrow


i'm en route to tbilisi, with a 6 1/2 hour layover at the london-heathrow airport. i've never been to the uk before. what struck me as most interesting on my flight in was to see an arial view of the land. it's amazing how it seems like every square inch of land has been divided up. all these strange shapes---some quadrilaterals, some pie shapes. and i'm not sure why this is, but the sprawl in london seems so much more extreme than when i've flown into other US cities like new york, dc, phila., LA, etc.
